Cambridge Investment Partnership (CIP) celebrated the official sales launch of its Hartmere development at Eddeva Park with a stakeholder event held on 14 April,  marking an important milestone in the creation of this emerging neighbourhood to the south of Cambridge city centre.

Delivered by CIP – the equal partnership between The Hill Group and Cambridge City Council – the event brought together representatives from Hill, Cambridge City Council, local partners and community stakeholders.

When complete, Hartmere will provide 90 new, high-quality, sustainable market sale homes.

The sales launch was marked with a ceremonial ribbon cutting, led by Tom Hill, Managing Director at Hill, and Assistant Director of Development at Cambridge City Council, Ben Binns. The event recognised the collaborative efforts of partners involved in bringing the project forward and highlighted the role Hartmere will play in shaping a vibrant new community for Cambridge.

Speaking at the event, Tom Hill commented: “It is a pleasure to welcome our partners and stakeholders to celebrate the launch of Hartmere at Eddeva Park. This development represents an important step in delivering much-needed new homes for Cambridge while creating a distinctive and sustainable neighbourhood that reflects the character of its surroundings.

“Hartmere has been carefully designed to foster a strong sense of community, with attractive green spaces, excellent connectivity and a location close to the city’s expanding science and technology cluster.”

Ben Binns, Assistant Director of Development at Cambridge City Council, added: “The launch of the market sale homes at Hartmere is another significant milestone for CIP.

“It was wonderful to join partners and stakeholders to celebrate this moment and recognise the collaborative effort that has helped bring Hartmere to life. We look forward to seeing this new neighbourhood grow into a vibrant and successful community in the years ahead.”

Reflecting CIP’s commitment to placemaking, Hartmere has been designed to create a welcoming and well-connected neighbourhood. The development is entirely gas-free, with homes powered by air-source heat pumps, and has been designed to meet ambitious targets for water efficiency. Landscaped green spaces are woven throughout the development, alongside modern cycleways and pedestrian routes that encourage sustainable travel and active lifestyles.

The wider regeneration of Eddeva Park will also include a new community centre, play areas and additional green spaces, helping to create an environment where residents can relax, socialise and enjoy a strong sense of community.
